In order to identify the basic form of Aryan languages, Vedic languages have proved to be of great help. आर्य-भाषाओं का मूलस्वरूप निर्धारित करने में वैदिक भाषा बहुत अधिक सहायक सिद्ध हुई है।

The Cabinet Mission recommended that the constitution should take the following basic form : 1 . There should be a Union of India , embracing both British India and the States which should deal withthe following subjects : Foreign Affairs , Defence andCommunications ; and should have the powers neces sary to raise the finances required for the above subjects . कैबिनेट मिशन ने सिफारिश की कि संविधान का मूल रूप इस प्रकार होना चाहिए : एक भारत संघ का गठन हो जिसमें ब्रिटिश भारत देशी रियासतें दोनों शामिल हों तथा जो निम्नलिखित विषयों के संबंध में कार्यवाही करे : विदेश-कार्य , रक्षा और संचार , और उसके पास उपर्युक्त विषयों के लिए अपेक्षित धन जुटाने की आवश्यक शक्तियां होनी चाहिए .
